OneTaste Compilation Volume 1.

A 14 track soul album (57m 59s) — released October 19th 2009 on OneTaste Arts Ltd

This compilation is a collection of tracks representing a growing scene in the UK, a new breed of musician and poet for the 21st century. OneTaste was started as an event in December 2004, by Dannii Evans and Jamie Woon, to close the gap between mainstream audiences and the talent that was arising from the underground London arts scenes. After 5 years of sell out London showcases and 3 festival tours, OneTaste has become one of the most noted underground arts collectives in the UK. This inaugural OneTaste Compilation features 14 stunning music and spoken word tracks. Seamlessly combining the acoustic, story-telling and electronic faces of OneTaste, the compilation includes highlights such as a new unreleased track, "Midnite Delite", given exclusively to OneTaste from Mercury Prize nominees, Portico Quartet, "Blinking Pigs" Little Dragon's favourite track from their new album, recent Ninja Tunes signing, Jono McCleery's "Darkest Light" and part 1 of a story by Polarbear that will span the next 3 compilations. "This compilation draws its magic and cohesiveness from its wonderful eclecticism, from Jono through Polarbear, via Bridgette Amofah, we feel chuffed to be involved with OneTaste and this new release!" - Portico Quartet
